I've been using the procedure STDAPI-TERM to update the batch process's status.
The procedure is included in 'stdapi.sqc' copybook.

Subject:  Update Process Monitor Status to 'Error'



     Hi all,

     This relates to running SQRs on a Win 95 client against PeopleSoft 7.5
     on DB2/400.

     When running my SQRs on the client, if an error occurs that causes the
     SQR to abort, the process monitor continues to show 'Processing' or
     'Initiated'. How can I update this status to 'Error' from within my
     program?
