Begin-Execute in SQR5.1

Hello.

Has anyone had any experience using the begin-execute block in SQR51.  A
brief explanation or sample code would be much appreciated.  I have a slim
volume (BRIO.REPORT 5.1) and have tried to replicate the examples contained
there to no avail.
