Re: .LIS printing software

Zubin: Denise White of Textron posted about a utility for this a little while
back. I'll copy her post below:

Many of you may be happy to hear that there IS an easier way of printing the
.lis file and having it format correctly! There is a freeware tool called
PrintFile that I learned about some time ago on PeopleSoft's Customer
Connection Discussion Groups. This tool does not even require you to have
the printer captured to an lpt port. If you place it, or a shortcut, on
your desktop you can simply drag your .lis file onto it. This is BY FAR the
easiest method I have found! The URL is:
http://hem1.passagen.se/ptlerup/prfile.html
I remember having to experiment a bit with the settings to get it to print
the .lis files, but I don't remember what I did (over a year ago). Once I
got it working the way I wanted, I released it to the other developers and
users. There is a lot more functionality to it, but I have only used it for
the one purpose.

 Subject: .LIS printing software

     Hi all,

Just wanted to get some opinions on software that can be used to print
.lis files through windows. We are looking at alternatives to printing
these reports from the DOS prompt. It would be helpfule to get an idea
of what other companies use for this purpose. Also, is it possible to
do this with one of the Microsoft Office products?

     Thanks.
