Hi David,
It works like this :
In SQR, Select with UNION works differently.
It still has same std rules as RDBMS Union, like the SELECT field
list for the secondary SQL-select statement in the Union query must
match the data type, number of columns, and length of columns
selected in the first SQL-select.
Enter the part of the SQL-Select statement that follows the Union clause as
normal select statement we type in say SQL*Plus,
I mean with commas between column names and without alias
names. We can not have any SQR statements after selected fields and before
FROM in this second Select(Select after Union).
So whatever fields you want to print, do that in first
select statement. You can do additional processing in First
select but not in second.
Hope I made clear enough.
Give me your select statements, I will send you one with
UNION.
