I thought, I'd add my 2 cents. Be forewarned however: I am far from an SQR
wizard!
Generally I use locals when I am calling a procedure multiple times using
different variables. In this instance writing a local procedure is
certainly easier and takes less code than writing a global. It also avoids
code redundancy.
However I feel it is more important to be able to read and understand the
code. Here comments help. PS, I feel doesn't document their procedures and
SQRs enough to easily and quickly understand the processing.
