Here is a thought if the output is variable.
We did a report that had vertical lines between each column and a box
around all of the output.   Because we did not know how many lines of
output there would be we as part of each line of printed data we would also
print a one character column between each data element and at the begining
and end of each line of output.
If you were to do the same plus print a horizontal lineafter each line of
output you would have your table.
