Re: Opening .lis files in EXCEL

Joe,
I think Franck Masson, posted a reply to a similar query. The way we had
been doing it in here was to
concat a comma to each record when writing to the .lis file. Excel can
then interpret this as a .csv file.
heres an example of some code.

 concat $lno1 with $rec
 concat ',' with $rec
 concat $ly_r2 with $rec
 concat ',' with $rec
 concat $lno2 with $rec
 concat ',' with $rec
 write 1 from $rec
 move '' to $rec

I havent tried it, but if Francks suggestion works, it should be quicker,
this is first time Ive been able to reply a query so I thought I would...

Chad.

Hello, group!
I am having trouble posting from my work e-mail, so I am sending this.
I apologize in advance if you get multiple posts.
Does anyone know of a way to view LIS files in Excel?
You can open a LIS up from Excel, but formatting is (as expected) messed
up.

Or maybe what I need is to send the SQR output to a TXT file rather than a
LIS file, and the open that with Excel.

Any input would be fantastically appreciated.

Thanks!
