Thats ok Jenny...we all were once newbies. If the editor or whatever you
are using has Help in the menu, click there and About... and that will tell
you the name. I suspect you are using the plain vanilla ms-dos editor
thingie.
There are lots of editors available which extend the functionality of
notepad. One of my favorites is UltraEdit which can be found at
www.ultraedit.com. Features which editors include are syntax highlighting
(this only works if you are not color blind!), ability to execute the SQR
from within the editor, and so forth. Another one which is very good is
PFE.
Soooooo, welcome to the club! Someday, you'll be a guru just like many of
us!
SQRly yours,
Sam

Actually, I'm running this off of a network. So no one "installed" it.
I couldn't find the cmdhlp.hlp file. How is it accessed?
I'm not sure what my editor is. I'm a bit comuter illiterate in this
regard. I think we are using a VAX/VMS system...I'm not sure what the
editor for that. I just type edit program.sqr and then edit away. Or
create it in Word and copy it over after typing create program.sqr
Okay, I'm feeling stupid!!
