Number edit masks

Hi,

Can anyone help me out?

When I use an edit mask on a number, like
'99999', my Universe font is compressed.
When I make two lines of zeros, the first one
with, the second without edit mask, the zeros
on the first line are placed belly-to-belly, where
the other line has a very clear space in between
all zeros.

We use a clearly defined house-style which does
not allow the numbers to be placed belly-to-belly.

How can I prevent this, without losing the ability
to align and make currency masks?
