Re: processing a .dbf file



Well, it's been a while since I played with .DBF files, but as I recall,
there was an initial value that told you the size of the header portion,
along with the # of records, etc.  Once you find these values (they're in
pre-set positions with pre-set sizes I belive), you should be able to
parse out the rest of the header info for field names, types, sizes, etc.
and use this to determine how to read the rest of the file.  Sorry for the
vagueness, but like I said, it's been awhile
