Re: Turn off direct deposit

Vince,

Before chastising Clint you may have wanted to research WHY he was looking
for a programmatic method to manipulate employee data and payroll functions.

As I spoke with Clint personally earlier today on this matter...I feel
somewhat obligated to defend him inasmuch that his needs ARE indeed technical
in nature and a programmatic approach to his unique problem IS the best
approach (in my humble opinion). He is cognizant of the fact that this is
not a normal method of changing direct deposit information for employees in
his PeopleSoft HRMS application....but then this is not a normal day for
Clint.

I encourage you to call Clint if you are interested in his dilemma and his
solution. It is not my position to share his payroll issues with the
group....but I am confident that Clint would be happy to chat with you
off-line.

As you copied the entire SQR group, my reply is same.

Take Care!

This is a functional not a technical problem.
Have your HR/Payroll department, or you, look at the peoplebooks on how to
turn on and off direct deposit.
Natuarly this assumes that when they where setup it was done using a
PeopleSoft panel or a valid load program.
Just going in and "changing" a field from one value to another can work but
is not the correct way to do it.
