Text Alignment

I am using SQR 4.3.3.2, and I originally created a report using
VisualSqribe. Many of the lines of text on the report were centered using
the CENTER ON PAGE menu item within VisualSqribe. When I began editing the
SQR file, I noticed that the text was centered using a calculated position
rather than the CENTER attribute of the PRINT function.

The Layout has been declared as 'Letter' in the 'Setup' area and the
defaults have not been changed. When I removed the position portion of the
PRINT command, and added the CENTER attribute, the text was placed way off
center, both in the SPF file and the printed document. I made the changes
in both the header and the body of the report, and each text item was
equally offset.

Has anyone encountered any difficulty using the CENTER attribute? Is it
standard practice to always calculate text positions? I would like to be
able to create a standard header, with centered text, that can be used as
an #include file, regardless of the orientation of the page.

Thanks for any advice,

Todd
