An easy and robust solution will be to move from VANTIVE to REPORTMART
from SQRIBE.
There are peoplesoft customers in production with our solutions to
distribute NVISION, CHRYSTAL, SQR report (ondemand and batch)
and with Nvision the peoplesoft user still have the ability to drill up
.
And with REPORTMART we can integrate any other reporting tools or
analysis tools like Oracle Report, Actuate, BO, BRIO, Cobol, .....
to distribute the result or to execute dynamicaly them.

I know i do not answer to your question but may be you had not this
information.
