Re: centering text



The sample code that you placed in your email would print a centered line of
text one line above the current line.  It would only print on line two if your
program is on line 3 when the command is executed.  If you are at the start of
your program, and you are on row 1 of the report, you should use the command:

print 'alien resident state not equal to tax resident state' (+1) center

You can use the command:

print 'alien resident state not equal to tax resident state' (2) center

to print the above text centered on line 2 regardless of  what your current
cursor position is, but you will be on line 3 after the command is executed.  If
you have a copy of the SQR User's Guide, you might want to look up 'position
qualifiers' in the index.  That will give you a good understanding of how the
positional parameters work with the print command.
