You didn't include any code you are using for us to have a look at it and
comment.

However, I think you need to debug your code further to find out what is
happening exactly.

If your coed is similar the following one

  #Balace_year = #Balance_year + 1
    ( OR )
  #Current_year = #Balance_year + 1


I think you might not have moved the required value into the #Balance_year
or some thing of that sort.

You better debug your code using Display/ Show statement before and after
the increment.

Hi,

         I've written a SQR to carry over the year end balances to the next
year. That means it picks up some special accumulators and their balances
from CAN_ERN_BALANCE table and update the table after the first pay calc for
the new year. The problem I am facing is it has inserted 1 in the field
BALANCE_YEAR instead of 1999. I know that it has something to do with the
number-format, but can anyone suggest me what the exact problem is. Thanks
