Re: Application Engine

John,
If your goal is to view the temp tables you can prevent the tables
from being deleted yourself. Some processes have a switch that disables
the delete step... usually under the business rule definition... OR you
can disable the delete step yourself... just set the statement type to
'Comment' temporarily... it's similar to an SQR program... after your
analysis change it back... You can force an abend at the point you wish
also and look at the results up to that point... of course that's the
simplified version... ALSO I created an Application Engine Analyzer a
while back but haven't had time to customize for 'all databases'...
Currently it's for Oracle and SQLBase... it's similar to my SQR Analyzer
and Wayne Ivory's SQR Tree... You can see a preview at my new site:

PS - A/E is a pretty neat tool (technically speaking)... For large
processes (AR Update, Payment Predictor, etc) it's cumbersome and
difficult to maintain (and was a poor choice by PeopleSoft)... plus any
modifications cannot be upgraded easily (no-brainer)... One of the
biggest complaints about A/E is that it can't handle File I/O... But...
custom functions could be added easily... I may add a &FILE function...
