Re: SqrPlus Workbench
Hi Bob
Thanks for your response. Language sensitive source code
editor just means that the editor assists the programmer in
building-up of his code. Generally the editor senses it through
the file extension. In the case of SQR, if the file extension
is SQR or SQC, the editor sets it up to assists the SQR
programmer. However the editor must be told somehow
the various verbs of the language. These verbs would
be of Simple type like LET, DO etc. or of Block type like
IF-ELSE-ENDIF,WHILE..END-WHILE etc. etc.
As an example, when programmer types:
eva{some_function_key}
this would result in:
EVALUATE {variable}
When = {value}
{sqr statement}
break
When = {value}
{sqr statement}
break
{..}
END-EVALUATE
with proper indentation. Some other function key may be
used to jump to the various {place hoders}.
I will try to download the latest version of PFE to see if
such a feature is available. However it is not an essential
requirement.
regards,
steve
