You can determine the record where the as of date is coming from by looking
at the panel in the designer. Chances are, the reason the date is filled in
is because someone saved the record with the operator id you are using.
Once is has been saved, the panel will display the current contents of the
fields each time it is displayed. You could use peoplecode to set the value
each time the panel is displayed to the current system date.
