   Thanks... You'll be happy to know my focus was on the '$q' usage not
the ins/outs of the chr(n) function... chr(39) can be replaced with the
'''' assignment... then use the $q variable for the string your
building... This eliminates the multiple occurance of the 4-quote for
1-quote nonsense I referred to earlier...

I sometimes take for granted the solutions posted will be tailored by
the readers to fit their needs...

To all SQRUG members... Use solutions posted as applicable to your
particular operating system, database, etc... Make the necessary
adjustments to fit your requirements...
