Communication/display box Problem When Migrating from SQR 3.0 to 4.0

I am currently in the process of migrating to SQR4.0(32-bit) from
SQR3.0(16-bit). When running a report with SQR3.0 (From Powerbuilder),
I display statements on the screen to indicate to me how far along the
report processing is. In this version, these statements appear in a box
which appears to be like MS-Notepad. It has a 'CANCEL' as a menu bar
item so you can cancel the processing of a report. When canceling, only
the SQR processing stops and the calling Powerbuilder app stays open.
If the report processing completes without canceling out of the
processing, this menu bar item then changes to 'CLOSE'.

In SQR4.0, however, the box that my display statements appear in looks
like a DOS communication box. It has no 'CANCEL' menu bar item to click
on to cancel the SQR report. The only way I can see to cancel is to
click on the 'X' in the upper right hand corner of the communication
box. In doing this, not only does the SQR processing stop, but the
calling Powerbuilder shuts down as well.

Does anyone know what happened to the old communication/display box that
was used in SQR3.0. Is there a way to cancel out of report processing
without shutting everything down including the Powerbuilder app. I've
tried using the '-C' flag in my command line call to SQR however this
causes two problems:

        1. When the communication/display box appears with my display
statements, the cancel box/button disappears.
        2. I'm using Insqribe ActiveX controls. When I click on the
cancel button (before it disappears as in Problem #1), this causes
havoc on the ActiveX control Method 'LocalRun' and then I
get a GPF.

I would appreciate any suggestions that anyone may have about this
problem.

Thanks in advance
