SQR error 3204

I'm not sure anyone can help with this, but being new to SQR, I'm hoping
for some insight. I have been adding fields to an existing  glbalanc.sqc
extract (actuals and budgets), all of the type Number (15,2). I've
recalculated the record length, and altered the 'RECORD=' accordingly.
When I run the extract in SQRW, I receive the 3204- Variables exceed
record length error. I've tried some very long record lengths (10 times
the calculated amount) and received the same error. Other extracts
altered (vouchers, payments) have not produced this error.When I comment
out the new fields, it runs fine. I'm running version 3.x of sqr, UNIX
server.
