You need to go in Define General Options, Operator Preferences, Asset
Management and set Open transaction processing to later.  The will stop
depreciation from happening when you save an asset.

Hi Guys,

I know that this is a Peoplesoft problem and not an SQR problem, but
most of you guys are working in PS, so can be of help to me. The problem
that i am talking about is in PS 7.01 Asset Management. When i try to
create any asset and save it then it tries to calculate depreciation.
May be i have made some mistake in the setups. I don't want the
deprication to be calculated as i do any kind of transaction. Can any of
you suggest me where could be the problem in the setup. Infact, i have
two test databases on one it is working as desired and on the other does
this crazy thing.
