Re: Asset Management - Depreciation Problem

Shibu,
   I've worked on Asset Management Version 6.0 and 7.5 (Not 7.01). I
didn't encounter the problem you are having with either version. At the
moment I don't have access to Asset Management - I'm at a client-site. I
can make a suggestion - Run a trace in both databases (SQL/PeopleCode)
and follow the progression in both. You'll be able to pinpoint the
condition that initiates the AMDPCALC process - Also look at
PS_OPEN_TRANS to see what's there - look at the status indicator if the
Asset_ID is present. The trace should lead you in the right direction.

                                      -Tony DeLia

PS - Good luck with AMDPCALC.SQR and AMDPCALC.SQC!!! They're both pieces
of crap - Whoever wrote them had absolutely NO idea what they were
doing! They should have subscribed to this User Group for some tips on
how to write SQR's...
