PeopleSoft Check Recon

Hello everyone,
        Has any one you installed the PeopleSoft delivered version of check
reconciliation?  We are trying to
determine if it is better to keep our existing version of check recon or use
PeopleSoft's version or do a hybrid.
         It seems that the Psoft version does not do much except report
which checks have cleared, whereas, our
in-house version gives up more information such as, deposits, debits and
credits, etc.
        What was any deciding factor that you used to go either way.  Thank
