Re: Printing .LIS file from DOS prompt

Parijat,

You can set this up in your Win 95 printer properties:

1. Right Click on the printer
2. Select properties
3. Select the "Details" tab
4. Click on the "Capture Printer Port" button
5. Select the device you want -> LPT1
6. Enter the printers network path \\<domain>\<share-name>
7. Check the box "Reconnect at login"
8. save it all

NOTE: under an NT workstation it is different, use the "Port Pooling Option"
in some cases.

Subject: Re: Printing .LIS file from DOS prompt

Thanks everyone for the reply to my query. Many suggested how I could
use LPT1. I was aware of NET USE command. But one aspect always eludes
me. Whenever I reboot my PC, mapping to LPT1 disappears. I have to use
NET USE command everytime. How can I retain it even after the PC is
rebooted? I tried putting the command in autoexec.bat but it didn't
work. I got some error messages.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again for the prompt help. I love SQRUG!
