With regards to your question, I have a solution but I am not sure if it
would be a feasible one for you.

I have written a report that creates a batch program by placing
necessary DOS commands in it. The first line on my report is "@echo
off".

Once I have built the batch program, I call it from my SQR and it runs
and then exits gracefully. Once I am done with the batch program, I
delete it and move on. This process leaves a lot to be desired. Though
an extra step as far as having to run a batch program for the purposes
of downloading the fonts, it may just meet your needs.
