Paul,
For an HP Printer, you must load the MICR soft font (if not loaded
already). There are a few files that are located in your PeopleSoft
directory, in a subdirectory called Sqrfonts. Use Fload.exe to load your
font.
I was able to load the font and have the checks print with the MICR line.
This font will stay loaded on the printer as long as the printer is not
turned off. PeopleSoft ships a sample batch file called Chkprint.bat that
could be modified so that it can be executed at startup. The file
delivered is only a sample file which PeopleSoft does not support.
However, if you do call the global assistance line with your customer
number, PeopleSoft will forward a few documents that will help you print
the MICR line.
I did not have to modify anything else to print the checks on an HP
printer.
I did however have to modify a few things here and there to print off of a
PCL-ready mainframe printer.

Subject: Escape sequence for MICR to HP printer
Is there an escape sequence that needs to be sent in order to print MICR
font to an HP printer. Any examples would be greatly appreciated. Once I
print the MICR line do I need to send another sequence to reset the font?
Thanks Paul
