SQR 2.5
Need some Help.
We are currently using an older version of SQR, 2.5. We distributed the .sqt
files to our user sites along with the sqrwt.exe file. We've never had a
problem doing this until last week.
The problem: Whenever the user tries to run sqrwt.exe, he immediately gets a
GPF error, whether he runs it manually (clicking on the file within Explore)
or through the ObjectView application.
I realize this is an old version and I suspect the user may be having DLL
conflicts, but again no other user has had or is having this problem. I am
unable to reproduce the error.
When distributing the programs we have all sites do the following:
1) copy all .sqt files to one folder, example c:\sqr
2) copy the mulprint.bat and multidel.bat file to the c:\sqr folder. The
mulprint.bat file is used to pipe the .lis files to a local or network
printer after the report program ends, and the multidel.bat deletes the .lis
file from the c:\sqr folder.
4) copy the sqrerr.dat file that we send with the installation files to the
c:\sqr
5) set the following environmental setting "SET SQRDIR=c:\sqr"
The users all have either Win9x or NT 4.0 (SP3) workstations. The sqrwt.exe
is called from within an ObjectView (GUI) frontend. We place the sqrwt.exe
in the same folder where all the ObjectView related files are copied,
including DLLs. The shortcut's target directory is the folder where are the
ObjectView files are and the Start In directory is "c:\sqr" where are the
.sqt files are.
Any suggestions?
