ODBC error 'Function Sequence Error' in SQR

Hi,

I'm using SQR v3.0 in PeopleSoft v6 with MS SQLServer as the back-end.
Every now and then, I get the ODBC error '[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver]Function sequence error'. It stays for a long time and then stops
appearing all of a sudden (I'm not aware of any activity at the database
end by DBA or anybody, for that matter). This error comes in
begin-select statements or during begin-sql (UPDATE) statement.

Can anyone diagnose the problem and/or suggest a possible solution?
