This is true, MS Word will do it but WordPad will also perform the same
requirement and with less overhead.

     Take the document into MS-Word, the search and replace can pick up
     special characters and replace them. Just remember to SAVE AS text
     file type.

     Hello everyone,

     Has anyone discovered how to do a search and replace on the tab
     sequence?  There are tabs in the program that I want to replace with
     spaces.  Anyone know how to put a value in the search field that
     represents a tab?  Everything I tried results in beeping or the cursor
     moving to the next field.
