SQR VIEWER and PeopleSoft Winexec

I'm attempting to use PeopleCode to open SQR Viewer
(version 3) and passing it a path and filename to
start with.

First Problem It appears that the path and filename
string cannot exceed 23 characters.  I get an SQR
6704 error when I try this,  if I stay under 23
characters no problem.  But our file naming
conventions are exceeding this limit.  Any ideas?

Secondly  is there away to initiate the .spf file
using peoplecode and let the windows deal with
associating SQR Viewer to the .spf file?  I've tried
this with Winexec and that doesn't seem to be the
answer.
