This is a Unix Shell script.  It's not designed to be used in Windows and hence has no extension, which is probably confusing your mail reader.  It is in fact however just a text file.  You should be able to just save the attachment to a file (if it hasn't done it already), port it to Unix, give it execute permission, and run it.
