Alan,

If you're an experienced C programmer, you probably won't have too
much trouble integrating your own C routines into SQR.  It's not
for the faint of heart, however.

I have found the "ufunc" interface to be more useful/powerful
than the "ucall" interface.  Pay special attention to the
use of ARRAYs as a powerful way of passing lots of information
back and forth between your SQR program and the underlying
routines.
