As a consultant I move around a fair amount and end up using vi
for most of my editing on unix. I carry a copy of Qedit with
me if I have to do a lot of editing under DOS/Windows (Qedit
is in the same family with Wordstar or the borland "Turbo"
editors). Otherwise, I use Notepad or Edit (I'm a minimalist;-).
At our office, people use an editor called "joe" under unix
which is also a lot like Qedit, Wordstar, and the Borland "Turbo"
editors. This is also tolerable for SQR work.
A few of us also use emacs under unix as our editor of choice.
(Has anyone extended emacs to be SQR friendly?)
