New mailing list software; same unsubscribe command

A few months ago I received messages from some people saying they had tried
to unsubscribe from the sqr-users mailing list but that their commands
seemed to have been ignored.

Since then, the mailing list management software that runs the list has been
changed. I wasn't involved in the upgrade but I assume part of the reason
for it was the problems with the old system. Hopefully, the new software
will be more stable that the old package.

The method for subscribing and unsubscribing to the list remain basically
the same. In either case, you would send mail to "listserv@usa.net"
("listproc@usa.net" will also work, as before).

To unsubscribe, the body of your message should contain the following line:

    unsubscribe sqr-users

(You can also use the word "signoff" in place of "unsubscribe".)
You will receive a message asking you to confirm the signoff. You will
receive a message when the confirmation is received and signoff is
completed.

To subscribe to the mailing list, you need to send the command

    subscribe sqr-users Full Name

in the body of their message. For example, if I were to subscribe I
would send

    subscribe sqr-users Nathan Treadway

Again, you will be asked to confirm the request. You will receive a welcome
message once the subscription is successfully processed.

Let me know if any of you have any problems with or questions about
the new list management software.
