sorting an array



Currently I am trying to sort an array based on a dated value.  (I can not 
do this using an SQL statement because of the other requirements in the 
report).

does anyone have a generic swapping procedure to take care of this 
situation, Possibly, a procedure that uses two arrays: first one with the 
data filled array and the second for swapping the pointers.
