Do you still get the bad status code if you omit the "redirect to file"? I
seem to remember a weird problem in using the ">" character in $command. We
might have solved it by writing
Let $command = 'blah blah blah '
|| '>' ! separate line
|| ' blah blah'

Try the command in a cmd window to debug the syntax.

Bob,
Instead of I: Drive, I try using H: Drive, which is recognizable to all my
SQR programs.
$COMMAND = 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c DIR/B H:\TEMP\av1377ds* >
H:\TEMP\KMDIPLIST.txt'
CALL SYSTEM USING $COMMAND #call_status wait
I still get nothing. The #call_status value is 3. I see in our forum that
the value need to be more than 10.
Thanks

Is "I:" defined on the machine that is actually running the process? Just
because you have an I: directory, doesn't mean the Production server calls
it the same thing. Try the full path.

With option \b \o the following will display the file names in bare format
and sorted, one per line:
DIR ' D:\DATA\BANKDATA\BANKREC_*.TXT /B /O >BANKLIST.TXT'
Use the dos command 'dir /?' for more info.

You do the same, replace "ls" by "dir"
' dir BANKREC_* > mylist.txt '
