RE: [sqr-users] (SQR 7715) Failed to start theJavaVirtualMachine(JVM).

I am Using SQR Verson 8 from Hyperion
and here is my setting
[Environment:Common]
SQRDIR=D:\BPS8\SQR8\SQR\ODB\BINW
BRIO_HOME=D:\BPS8\SQR8

what is your SQR version from Peoplesoft ( version 4.3 or version 8 ) ?

>> What type of files would be located in the JRE directory?
under the JRE directories there are the JVM folder
(\BPS8\SQR8\jre\jre117\bin\....)

>>  Hyperion
with SQR on Unix you have to define a Variable BRIO_HOME
on windows the sqr.ini under \winnt is updated/completed during the
installation

can you share your sqr.ini and the command line you are using to run your
report

Franck,

I checked the sqr.ini and there is no entry from BRIO_HOME. We are on
Windows NT and are an ADP customer, so SQR is delivered with our
software. I don't see a JRE directory anywhere on our server. I do see
JAR files and I see the SQRBIN directory and a JVM directory, but no JRE
directory. ADP was developed from PEOPLESOFT and I did try to search on
a Peoplesoft website for the SQR.ini settings, but couldn't find
anything. What type of files would be located in the JRE directory? I
am not sure if I can make a directory and make sure the necessary files
exist. Also, I did look at the installation instructions for SQR on the
Hyperion website and noticed that .ini settings for Unix and Linux had
the BRIO_HOME, but I didn't see that for Windows?

Thanks,

Tracy

I am getting the following error when I append the following command to
my SQR  -PRINTER::EH  -KEEP:

(SQR 7715) Failed to start the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

Possible causes are: missing or invalid jre files,

incorrect CLASSPATH, or insufficient resources.

The SQR that we run is part of the deliverable from ADP. If I change
the process to create a PDF file with -PRINTER::EP, I do get the same
error message; however, the PDF file is created. When I user
-PRINTER::EH, I don't get any files other than the error and log file -
NO SPF, NO HTM and NO LIS file.

Any help would be appreciated. I did take a look at the SQR.ini file
and the only setting is for the SQRDIR.

Thank you,

Tracy
