We are able to use DB links from SQR with no problem.  Are you sure the
ID you are using in SQL is the same you are using from SQR?  What error
are you seeing?

  if i run the select statement from oracle it connects to the prod
database without any problem...
   
  do i need to initialize somethin at the begining of the sqr before
using the database link i created in oracle
