Bob,
According to the SQR Language Reference Manual, trailing blanks are
stipped from text records are that processed ...
Text and binary data is parsed according to the following:
Text data is any string of characters. The length of the
variable name indicates how many
characters to place into the variable. After being transferred, trailing
blanks in the variable
are omitted.
Peter

Subject: [sqr-users] Reading fillers from a file
Hi,
Iam facing a truncation issue when ever i read contents from a file
and write to another file. I have a sorce file that has data some thing
like this 3933904l d944 krp9 kr 99 . There is one space after value 99.
But when i read the line and write to another file that single space
gets truncated. Is there any way to preserve that space while writing to
another file.
Any suggestions/ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Bob
