Well, that depends, Clark. If the report is fairly simple, then, yes,
the .lis file is quite readable in an editor (although not printable) -
there would just be one line of PCL at the beginning and the rest will
be straight text. However, if the report has anything fancy, like bold
or underline, the .lis file is quite UNreadable. But if the former, I
do prefer .lis and an editor.

don't think so.
I guess my question is, why do the l-users think they need to view it in
spf? They can open an .lis file in any text editor. They need to think
inside the box.

Hi,
We ran a one time Sqr to update some tables in database. The one time
Sqr generated a LIS file which holds the information about the updated
rows. But Users need the output in SPF format. The SQR cannot be reran
to generate the report again. Is it a way to transfer the existing LIS
file to SPF.
