Hi Tara,

It would help if you could be a little more descriptive about your 
problem.  If I am reading your question correctly, you are trying to enter 
a number where the first x digits are the dollar amount, and the last two 
digits are the cents.  You could read in the amount, verify that input is 
as expected (make sure that every value is a digit, for example), and then 
divide the resulting number by 100.
