Better you should learn how to fish than merely get a fish, no?

Do you have a unix command that does the sort you want? This is where I
would start.

Hi,

I want to sort a file using the unix sort command. I need to sort a
specific field alone. After sorting I need to write the sorted output to
another file.
It would be gr8 if some one can give me a sample code in sqr to do this.

Thanks in Advance
Ram
