from an oracle perspective, if you're using a shared temp table space, and 
something else is running, you could be running out of space.  Most DBAs 
will *NOT* extend this because in most cases it's not required - check your 
code - maybe have the dba do an explain plan on it, or choose a time when 
other proceses are not running.

Your select statements in the SQR could be

1. a Cartesian product.
2. The extents in the Database is not enough. talk to your DBA.
