Can anybody Help,
We are in the process of upgrading all of our users from NT or W2K to XP. We
use CALL SYSTEM a lot, mostly to activate copy commands on the system. We have
discovered that the calls are failing under XP, although working under NT and
W2K. The command string works under XP if called as a .bat file.
Below is a typical example command. I've anonymised the actual filenames
LET $command = 'cmd /c @start /min /wait cmd /c copy <from_file> <to_file>'
call system using $command_string #copy_status wait
The status returns as 0 under NT, as 1 under XP
