[sqr-users] Creating PDF With SQR

This is a repeat of a message I just sent. The list server sent me an
error message informing me that message contained non text items that
where stripped. This version is in plain text.

Hi,

We use SQR version 6 for our batch reporting on UNIX, and now have a
requirement to convert the report output to PDF. The current process
uses the UNIX cat command to combine the Post Script output from several
SQR programs into a single Post Script file that is printed. We know
that we could change the printer type to create .pdf files instead of
.lis files, but we haven't been able to find an easy way to combine
these separate pdf files into a single pdf file. What we have
investigated so far is Adobe Distiller and Ghost Script. Both of these
solutions would allow converting the combined .lis file into a .pdf.

Are there any other possible solutions besides Distiller or Ghost
Script? Has anyone used Ghost Script? Have any of you been able to
combine several .pdf files into a single .pdf file on a UNIX system?

Thanks

Bruce
