I'm not a fancy programmer, but if I understand you correctly, this is what I 
would
try.
Melody

Let #line_length = 80
Let #line_ct       = 1

 while #ind < {maxArraySize}
      let $instr_name = instr_arr.last_name(#ind)

      Let #name_length = length($instr_name)
      Let #accum_total = #accum_total + #name_length
      If #accum_total > #line_length
        Let #line_ct = #line_ct + 1
        Let #accum_total  = #name_length   !resetting accum
      end-if

      if ($flag = 'N')
         print $instr_name (#line_ct,4,15)
      else
         print $instr_name (#line_ct,+1) wrap 80, 2
     end-if

     let $flag = 'Y'
    add 1 to #ind
end-while
