RE: [sqr-users] Loading Polish Characters

I agree with Richard. It is likely the DB settings. We encountered something
similar in our implementation a few years back and it was resolved by telling
Oracle to allow the use of French characters (è, é, à, ç, etc). Presumably SQL
Server also allows this flexibility.

"It" is converting...? Is the upload program SQR?

My (wild ass) guess, based on the information you supplied, would be the db
default character set is not Polish but Windows could be doing it, too. What
is the source of the data?

Subject: [sqr-users] Loading Polish Characters

We are implementing PeopleSoft HR for Poland and are trying to use and
upload program to load employee data into
the database.

When we run the upload process it is dropping or converting the Polish
specific characters, namely the letters: *, *, *, *, *,*, *, *,. Does
anyone know how to
maintain the Polish characters?

We are running on a Windows 2003 server and a SQL server database.
