Hi,
After refresh with production we run setdbname and setspace sqrs. SETSPACE.SQR
compares the tablespacename (DDLSPACENAME) defined for each table defined in
the PeopleSoft record definition table (PSRECDEFN) to the relational database
system catalog for that table. If the DDLSPACENAME does not match the actual
tablespace name for an existing table, then the DDLSPACENAME value is updated
with the tablespace name from the system catalog. If the table definition is
new, and contains a DDLSPACENAME that does not exist in the system catalog,
then a default value is inserted. The site sets the default tablespacename when
running SETSPACE.SQR. In addition, if the DDLSPACENAME is blank, and no system
catalog value exists, the default value is inserted.
After running setspace and setdbnam when I ran database audit report I have
seen that psrectblspc is not updated properly with underlying system catalog
tablespace. In psrectblspc for some tables we have double enteries that is for
some records we have two tablespace names, out of this one tablespace name is
updated with underlying system catalog tablespace name but the other tablespace
name is not updated by setspace sqr.
My question is what could be the reason and why the sqr is not updating both
the rows where we have double enteries in psrectblspc.
Also if we have the tablespace name and dbname in psrectblspc which doesn't
exist in system catalog table than in that case what will happen.
We are on DB2 database and application is peoplesoft.
Any insight on this would be of great help.
Cheers,
Jude
