Andrew,
If you are running SQR on a Unix box you need to see how much memory is
allocated for a process. Some DBAs limit the amount of memory a process
can access so a single process cannot consume all the memory on a
machine. Also look at how much virtual memory is available on the
mamchine.

Portal 7
SQR 6.2
Oracle 9
I have an SQR program that runs fine on my desktop. It will output 1000
pages in
about 2.5 minutes. When it runs on the portal it runs out of memory.
During the
work day it can successfully produce about 250 pages. After work I have
seen it
do 700 pages. I don't know if it could do more.
What, other than a bigger machine, could be done to the portal or the
program
to reduce memory usage. What can I tell you about the program or portal
configuration that will help you answer the question. Sorry to be so
vague but
I know so little about this topic that I am not sure what specifcs will
help.
Andrew :)
p.s. Hi, Paul
